There is a common advice that to drink eight glasses a day which is easy to remember and is a great way and reasonable goal, however factors such as the environment, exercise, and overall health could require you to modify these total fluid intakes based on these factors (Mayo Clinic, 2022). Drinking water is not the only way to fulfill your water intake needs as portions of what you eat such as fruits and vegetables are almost 100 percent water by weight (Mayo Clinic, 2022). Additionally, milk, herbal teas, juice, and caffeinated drinks can help you achieve your daily water intake. However, beware of the caffeinated drinks that contain sugar as it may contain more calories needed (Mayo Clinic, 2022).
