Whereas dehydration by just 2% of body mass impairs exercise performance and can lead to increased risk of injury, and muscle cramps. Further continuous dehydration leads to prolonged burnout and decreased performance levels in all avenues of life. This proves true in all forms of physical exertion, from physical labour, playing sports, to working out. Maintaining hydration during physical exertion is just as important as doing so before and after so make sure you’re still sipping your water bottle throughout everything you do!

Further hydration helps to regulate appetites and cravings aiding in ensuring one remains strict with their dieting goals, be it to lose or gain weight, in a healthy way. Lastly hydration aids in warding off nausea and other feelings of abdominal discomfort helping those who may struggle to obtain an appetite be more keen to eat.

Staying hydrated improves cognitive function as well as brain health and longevity as roughly 75% of the organ is made up of water. Hydration aids in reducing headaches, insomnia related behaviors, and even tendencies of depression.
