In the early stages, it is known as gingivitis. Gum disease can cause red, swollen and bleeding gums – particularly when brushing or flossing your teeth. Gingivitis is in most cases painful. But it is important to be on the lookout for these other symptoms as much as possible. Left untreated, gum disease can ultimately lead to serious oral health problems. Gingivitis can also progress to periodontitis, a more aggressive stage of gum disease.

Saliva helps to fight tooth decay by naturally washing away the acids that cause enamel erosion. It also helps manage gum disease-causing plaque bacteria. Occasional dry mouth is common (especially if you’re dehydrated). However, it could become a persistent problem if left untreated. Similarly, it is also seen as a potential side effect of certain medications.

Chronic bad breath (known as halitosis) can be an embarrassing and unpleasant condition. Firstly, one has persistent bad breath that won’t go away on its own. Secondly, it is the outcome of an underlying oral health problem, such as an infection; dry mouth; or gum disease. Thirdly, dental problems like cavities contribute to bad breath. This is by creating spaces in your mouth for odour-causing bacteria to become trapped.

1. Prep prep prep

Prep is very important whether you’re a beginner or a pro at weight training. Make sure to prep your muscles before working out to wake them up and help you perform better. You can prep by stretching or doing warm-up exercises.

2. Form is everything

Proper form is crucial to ensure you’re engaging the right muscles and you’re not injuring yourself. At PSB Fitness, we have seasoned personal trainers to help you nail your form and make the most out of your workout. They watch you in real-time and give pointers or tips to make sure you have the proper form and maximize your gains.

3. Start light

To further help you nail your form, you need to start with light weights or even just your body weight. Your body needs to get used to doing certain movements and starting with light weights will set you up for success.

4. Don’t go overboard

As much as we want to see you at PSB Fitness every day, it’s best to start gradually. Start by going a few days a week, doing full-body workouts. Do a little bit of every muscle group to keep a balanced workout, then slowly add in days when you want to focus on a specific muscle group. As you progress, you can start dedicating each workout to one muscle group to build strength in that area and to give your other muscles some time to rest.

5. Take a rest day when you need to

You’ll likely be sore after your first few workouts. Listen to your body and take a day off when you’re feeling sore so you can still work out later that week. Give your body and muscles some time to recover so you can come back to the gym stronger. If you’re feeling too sore after a workout, that’s a sign you might be doing too much, and you can go easier at the gym.

At PSB Cafe we are now offering at Mississauga exotic fruit smoothies at PSB Cafe in order to meet the demand for healthy, foreign alternatives to the common fruit drinks. Apples, bananas and oranges are boring and a thing of the past. The modern consumer wishes for something more exciting and that is what PSB Cafe is willing to offer. This post will be going over exactly what fruits will be introduced into the PSB smoothie landscape and when they will be rolled out for your convenience!

Dragon fruit

One of the fruits that will be rolled out in smoothies will be the Dragon fruit. The dragon fruit is a versatile fruit with a unique taste that is fleshy and juicy. Perfect to mix with whey protein for a gym user post workout fuel. The dragon fruit is relatively low in calories as well so for a customer who would be very concerned about the number of calories of what they consume this smoothie would be ideal for them. For people that have a decent grasp of nutrition, they understand that even 300 more calories than expected for their maintenance calories can cause them to gain extra weight. With the dragon fruit smoothie that will be a worry of the past as the relatively low-calorie count will keep every athlete feeling energized and not weighed down or lethargic. Dragon fruit is also packed with essential vitamins and nutrients such as fiber, calcium and vitamin B. Fiber helps with digestion and the overall wellness of how your body breaks down other nutrients so our Dragon Fruit smoothie would also go well with someone’s meal in order to help them digest better, and get on the go faster.


The second exotic fruit is Soursop. Soursop is an extremely unique fruit that not many of the average person knows about. Soursop is an odd-looking fruit (like Dragon Fruit) but boasts a very interesting taste. A mixture of sweet and sour tastes will intrigue most people and totally surprise them with this fruit. Soursop is also relatively low in calories so even for customers outside the target audience, anyone who may watch their caloric intake may be interested in trying the Soursop smoothie. Soursop is also high in fiber as well as Vitamin C. Both being noted as essential vitamins and nutrients for the human body.

Miracle Fruit

The third exotic fruit that will be added to the list of new exotic fruit smoothies to be rolled out for PSB Cafe will be the Miracle Fruit. The Miracle fruit is truly in its title. The miracle fruit is often used with sour tasting fruits in order to offset the taste due to a molecule in the fruit called miraculin. Miraculin causes the receptors on the tongue to perceive sour things as sweet. Therefore we have chosen at PSB Cafe to add in the Miracle fruit with lemon to create an amazing low sugar smoothie that will be perfect for someone who is very serious about their sugar intake. Sugar intake directly correlates with wellbeing and our target audience would be quite pleased having a smoothie that is low in sugar but also yields a great taste.

Low calorie combo meals Mississauga

PSB cafe is a promoting channel in Mississauga which promotes different types of food combos especially the low calorie combo meals Mississauga made by the students of HMC and Davis campuses of Sheridan.

While brainstorming the ideas for creating the new food cafe in Sheridan Mississauga and Brampton campus offered by PSB cafe, we were in very confusion. “How our product is going to be convenient and healthier for the students?”. Then we got the idea of making our food items with low calories.

A calorie is the energy unit. Calorie sources include different types of food items like fats, carbohydrates, proteins or sugars. These items are very necessary for our daily needs too.  McDaniel a dietitian once said, “There’s conventional wisdom that men shouldn’t eat fewer than 1,500 calories and women 1,200 calories to ensure that they’re getting a balance of major nutrients and micro-nutrients.”

Our one of the targets is to provide the low calorie combo meals Mississauga and Brampton students.  It will be cheap and convenient, and students will be getting a fresh mind and ideas for doing their work in the campus itself and gives a healthy body too.  We will be introducing some variety sandwiches which contain lots of healthy ingredients like lettuce, tomato, onion, fat burning pickles, and some amount of cold cut which is totally carbohydrates and fat free, some souses for getting different tastes as per the student’s choice.  Salads are the next part.  There will a unique salad which will be completely veggie which will be a combination of vegetables and fruits.  Absolutely no meat.  In the pack, one side it will be fruits like pieces of apple, grapes, kiwi etc. and the other side will be vegetables like lemon, lettuce, tomato, garnish etc.

And the next thing that is a drink which is in our mind and we are working on it.  It will a blend of vegetables and fruits.  But we need so many extra things like blenders, water, mixers.  So, we are working on it.  Mostly the drinks will be also introduced.  We also have a big meal combo which is the combination of all three mentioned above that is a sandwich, salad and drink which will be given to the students with a small promotion on price.

We will be also displaying all the products through the TV with the number of calories each meal possesses.


Advantages of low-calorie meal

Based on the researches, the low-calorie meal provides our high-quality lifestyle.  The restriction of taking a meal that allowed to a man that is 1200 to 1600 calories per day and a woman that is 1000 to 1200 calories per day to reduce the weight.  For the rapid loss of weight, people will take only the meal which has a calorie of 800.  This meal includes shakes, bars, soups.


As in Molecular Aspects of Medicine in June 2011, calorie restriction will help the people in many healthy ways.  It helps in living for a long, physical activities are done with greater energy, cancer rates can be reduced, age-related problems for the brain can be abridged, reproduction process can be done in a good manner.


There are some changes that we should bring in our daily food routines.  What to eat includes:

Compliant Foods

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Lean proteins
  • Low- or no-fat dairy products
  • Whole grains
  • Herbs and spices

Non-Compliant Foods

  • Refined carbohydrates (in excess)
  • Rich, fatty foods (in excess)
  • Sweetened beverages

The low-calorie diet will be a diet which will be having very low carbohydrates content and fatty content.

So, our low-calorie meal combo will be introduced soon through the PSB café and all the promotion process will be done through the social media platforms and also through the TV displays of both the campuses.

Therefore, we have included various options such as Halal, Kosher, high-protein, and more to choose from. The following section will emphasize the benefits that classify OneMeals as Sheridan’s most versatile, healthy food option.

Are you busy with homework and have no time to cook? What about waiting in long lines? PSB Café understands the fast-paced lifestyle students live. We understand that there is no time for waiting in lines while meals are prepared. Furthermore, it’s a hassle to having to go through your phone, pre-order food, and still have it not ready when you arrive. As a result, PSB Café has decided to prepare all of the food items BEFORE the students arrive at school, making sure our refrigerators are full when students arrive in the morning.
